Quickfeet Repeat with Silver Success at May Madness Tournament
The 2002's travelled to Toronto on the 13th to the 15th of May to take part in the Canlan May Madness Tournament.

The first game was against the Fineline Demons.  Quickfeet were able to put together a complete game by being able to make good decisions with the puck and moving their feet - the result was a resounding 5-1 victory.

The second game on Friday saw the boys take on Total Hockey.  The game mirrored that of a game from the previous tournament with Quickfeet coming out strong and then falling into penalty trouble which they could not recover from - the result was a disappointing 7-1 loss.

Saturday was a new day and the hometown boys were determined to put forth a better showing against The Kingston Beasts.  The Roadrunners carried the play with numerous scoring chances but the Beasts netminder proved to be the difference.  Quickfeet were unable to solve the tender and deserved a better fate than the 2-0 loss.

The final game on Saturday saw Quickfeet take on Dominate Hockey - the boys skated hard but were not able to get enough pucks to the net, the result was a 5-0 loss.

With only one win but a stronger plus/minus that other teams - Quickfeet found themselves in the Silver Championship for the second consecutive tournament - this time it was a rematch against the Kingston Beasts.

With no goals in the past two games - Quickfeet needed a good start in the finals.  A line shuffle seemed to spark the hometown boys and as they did the previous game against Kingston, the Roadrunners carried the play.  In the first the blue and orange boys broke threw with a goal. From there they poured it on - finding the back of the Beasts net four more times.  Kingston got one back in the third but were unable to skate with the Roadrunners.  The boys got their revenge with a convincing 5-1 victory - capturing the Silver Championship for the second straight time!

The 2002's look forward to their final Tournament at the end of May.
