Quick Feet Battle Tough Blue Thunder Team
The Collingwood Blue Thunder came to play and they battled hard all night long with a never quit attitude. They gave a sluggish Quick Feet team all they could handle throughout the game after coming off of a tournament weekend against many strong teams.

Quick Feet would match their hard work and speed and would find the score sheet first with a nifty backhand from Kyle Durrer assisted by Hanna Solinger and Jayce Busby. The first period would end 1-0.

The second period would see Kyle Durrer score his second from Brenden Hinds and Will Black. Quick Feet would again find the back of the net on a goal by Tyson Lina with Brenden Hinds getting his second assist of the night. Quick Feet with a three goal lead would give one up before the end of the second finishing off the period with a 3-1 lead.

The third period would again see the Blue Thunder get many chances by making some good stick checks inside the Quick Feet blue line from the Quick Feet players trying to stick handle out of their end instead of making the smart pass, or the dump and chase to get it out safely. Fortunately, Great goaltending by both Spencer Lazarevich and Matthew Donnelly made many saves to bail out these give-aways in the wrong spots and always the wrong time. Individual play crept into the play and many great passing opportunities were missed. The team was made well aware of this after the game.

Blue Thunder would make things interesting by scoring another goal to make the score 3-2 but then Tyson Lina would score again assisted by Nathan Ahrens to make it 4-2. Blue Thunder would pull their goalie trying to make a last minute come back but Quick Feet would turn it on and control the play to thwart a comeback attempt with strong defensive play by Will Black, Cameron Lightfoot and Kyle Durrer. Tyson Hutcheson also made some great back checks coming back hard to help out the defense.  Hard work, positioning and teamwork will be a necessity if we want to be triumphant this weekend. We had 2 out of 3 for most of the game tonight.  One more to go!
