Quick Feet Up For Ice Sharks Rematch
The mid-week rematch between Quick Feet and the Ice Sharks was set.  A weekend had past since these two teams last met and both teams were eager to get back at it.

Quick Feet started off right where they left off as they dominated the play during the first period. The forwards of Brody Leblanc, Blake Wideman, Owen Rahn, Luke Eurig, Nathan Naves, Justin Rogers, Graham Gateman, Evan Dewar and Jason Taylor were strong on the forecheck and kept the Ice Sharks pinned deep in their own end.  The strong forecheck finally paid off when Brody Leblanc jumped all over an Owen Rahn rebound to put Quick Feet on the board with just under two minutes remaining in the first period.  That lead didn’t last long when the Ice Sharks caught the Quick Feet boys sleeping with 20 seconds left in the first to tie the score at one.  The second period was filled with end-to-end action as both teams traded scoring chances.  Late in the period a determined Evan Dewar potted his second goal of the season after digging the puck loose from a fallen Ice Sharks goalie and finding the back of the net.  Again that lead didn’t last long as the Ice Sharks evened it up at two goals apiece to end the second period.  The Ice Sharks drew first blood in the third when they walked out front and put a shot low to the bottom corner.  Quick Feet was now playing from behind for the first time in the game and this season and it was time to take their grit and determination up another notch.  The Quick Feet team responded to the call when Nathan Naves forced the turnover at the Ice Sharks blue line and skated in on a break and put the puck neatly in the top corner of the net just over the goalie’s glove.  The score was tied once again.  Despite a few chances to take the lead the Quick Feet boys couldn’t get one more goal and the game ended in a 3-3 tie.

Another solid effort boys! Next up, tournament play.  Best of luck.
