The boys had their first tournament this past weekend, the GTA May Madness! Although they fell short and didn’t advance to the silver finals, they had fun!!
The first game they faced a tough competitor, Bob Acton
Sports, and were not able to stop them from winning by a score of 9 to 2 (Bob
Acton Sports went on to win gold in the final round). Their second game they showed that they
wanted a win and came out on top by a score of 4 to 1 against the Ontario
Wolfpack. Saturday they faced two strong
teams, the Ontario Broncos Grey & Ontario Broncos Blue. Their first game they defeated the Grey team
by a score of 5 to 1. However, they
weren’t able to uphold their winning streak and fell short against the blue
team by a score of 5 to 1.
Sunday the team faced off against the Grey team once again,
in a game that would determine who would advance to the silver finals. Although they played hard, they just were not
able to come out on top. The game
finished with a really tough score of 3 to 2.
Overall, it was an excellent first tournament and gave the
boys a good warm up for their upcoming tournament in a few short weeks.
Remember to always try hard and bring your best because you
never know what could happen! Anyone can
win!!
