Weekend at the RBC Centre
The 2008 Quick Feet team showed what they were made of after looseing 2 games on Friday. Coming back to win 2 on Saturday and only a 1/2 point out of getting to play on Sunday. Friday 2:00 pm VS the Sharks was a battle, down 3-1 at one point and fighting our way back into the game in the 2nd period down one goal 4-3. The sharks were determind that we were going to be lunch that afternoon as they potted another to end the game 5-3. Game 2 6:00 pm VS Vision Hockey, lets say the only vision they had was to find the back of the net. I give our team a lot of credit as they never quit until the buzzer went in the 3rd, 12-2.
With an extremely long supper at Boston Pizza and a good nights rest we hit the ice flying Saturday morning at 10:00 am VS Oakridge. With our team very pumped up and a good pre-game speech from coach Nick we sure showed our fans a game of hockey beating Oakridge 7-0. The team was hungry for another victory at 2:00 VS Iceman. This one was a nail biter, we went up 2 in the first period but the Iceman kept playing hard and had the play mostly in our end. Ups and downs and a few close calls they finally put one by our tender. Finishing with a 2-1 win. Hats Off to our team and staff for a great weekend of hockey.
