Major Atom, 2009 (Quick Feet Hockey)

It wasn't hard to tell the boys had a 2 week layoff. The legs and tenacity that we had seen in the tryouts and scrimmages were missing in this game. The Ice Sharks have several players who play AAA hockey and they were more prepared for the game. The teams battled well for the 1st half of the game and were tied 2-2 at the mid-point in the game. Our legs started dying and our lack of positional play started to really affect us. The 2nd period ended 4-2.

Things are looking pretty solid for the 98's so far. We have a very strong 3 lines up front with lots of potential fire power. The defense is a good mix of size and quickness with good puck skills. Our goaltending tandem looks ready for the challenge. The players have all been working hard with our coaching staff getting used to each other and to the systems we will use in the upcoming tournaments. Our coaching staff is very committed to helping our players improve their skills and compete at the AAA level. Good luck to all of you. I am confident that we will be a competitive TEAM!
