The 2013 Quickfeet Minor Atom season has begun and this year’s
squad is showing some real promise. The
boys have been working hard at practice to get geared up for their first
tournament of the season this weekend (May 3-5) in Brantford.
Over the past couple of weeks the team has participated in three exhibition games and despite not coming out of them with a winning record, it is clearly evident that the boys are getting used to playing with one another again. Linemates are starting to gel, and defensive pairings are firming up.
The Quickfeet team dropped their first two games to the Saugeen Maitland Ice Sharks (6-3 and 5-0) but bounced back against the Collingwood Blue Thunder, coming out on top 5-1. (click the game results at

As the Quickfeet players focus on working the kinks out, the goaltending tandem of Glen Crandall and Ryan Fotheringham have continued to build on last season, providing stellar netminding in each game and keeping Quickfeet in each of the two losses.
