Atom 2003, 2014 (Quick Feet Hockey)

The 2003 team travelled to London to take part in the Rising Stars Tournament. Game 1 was a hard fought 4-0 loss to the host London squad. Game 2 every thing went right for the 2003 as they racked up 8 goals in a 8-0 victory over the South West Jets.

After a layoff and an optional practice on Saturday the Quickfeet team hits the ice tonight in Owen Sound at 6pm to take on the Collingwood Thunder. And YES we are still waiting on the London Tournament game times. They are like the spring weather, they will come eventually.

The early morning games are not a friend of the Quickfeet team. The boys had slow feet Friday morning but were able to play the Elgin Sharks to a 1-1- tie.  Game 2 found the boys roaring to go for a 6.50pm start. The Quickfeet broke the game open with 2 late 3rd period goals for a 2-0 victory. The bad news is their next game is 9am Sat against the undefeated Xcelerate team. Hopefully the boys will wake up and think it is after lunch and play like it.

The 2003 team was on the ice early Sat morning to take on the Renegades. The boys trailed 3-0 after 1 period and 4-0 after the 2nd period. The boys woke up for the 3rd period and scored 3 goals, but that was as close as they could come by the end of the game. The 2nd game of the day the opposition was Team Vision, the team was not very energetic on the fore check and this lead to the opposition building a 4-0 lead. The Quickfeet spoiled the Vision goalies shut out with a late goal. With a 2-2 record this left the Quickfeet team in third place. Their opposition in the semi-final game Sunday ...

The Quickfeet team is playing in the Stone Town Tournament this weekend. The competition and the excitement is almost more than we can stand. Game one was against the Regional team. With the Quickfeet trailing 1-0 in the second period Riely Keip scored 2 goals one on a beautiful passing play from behind the net and the 2nd on an individual effort.
