ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END
The 2003 team travelled to London to take part in the Rising Stars Tournament. Game 1 was a hard fought 4-0 loss to the host London squad. Game 2 every thing went right for the 2003 as they racked up 8 goals in a 8-0 victory over the South West Jets.
After the game a great team meal was enjoyed back at the hotel. (Thanks Kelly)
Sat morning the Quickfeet team played a very competitive Regional team. After the dust had settled the team had come out on the short end of a 4-3 score.
Sat evening saw the team take the ice in a win or go home game. In the best game the team played all season they dominated a very gritty Dunnys team and came away with a well deserved 4-1 victory.
Sunday noon was the show down for the Championship against the Bluewater Sharks. Although the Quickfeet team dominated the 1st period they trailed 2-0 at the end of the period. Period 2 was a repeat of the 1st every thing that could go wrong did go wrong. Trailing 5-0 after 2 periods the team could have gave up but they did not.
Showing their integrity they played a great 3rd period to hold the score at 5-0 for the game.
All and all a great season with 11 wins. A great group of young men and I look forward to seeing them next winter.
