Major Tyke 2008, 2015 (Quick Feet Hockey)

It was a successful weekend at the Toronto Memorial Holiday Classic - Hockey Tournament It has been a short but very fun spring hockey season. Finishing 10-4-1. I feel that every player learned something new from this experience. These players put what they learned in practice to work for them in the games this weekend and they were rewarded. Everyone worked their hardest and put their best effort forth and went underfed beating the Roger Neilsons Rink Rats in the finials to win "A" side GOLD champs. Way to Go !! 

The 2008 Quick Feet team showed what they were made of after looseing 2 games on Friday. Coming back to win 2 on Saturday and only a 1/2 point out of getting to play on Sunday. Friday 2:00 pm VS the Sharks was a battle, down 3-1 at one point and fighting our way back into the game in the 2nd period down one goal 4-3. The sharks were determind that we were going to be lunch that afternoon as they potted another to end the game 5-3. Well the 2008 Quick Feet team got off to a rocky start in the first game. As expected  the Collingwood Northern Rangers were a very good team. After the kids got the butterflies out we started to play better hockey. Had a few good rushes and some chances but could 't beat there goalie with BIG pads. The second game was a back and forth game with some great opportunities for both sides. At the end of the day we came up short but played really well in game two. Very proud of the effort put forth today. Feel Good, Look Good, Play Good !! Lets Keep working hard, and have fun !!

Hello All, It has been brought to my attention today that we have to look after paying the refs and the time keeper for our exhibition games. Refs are $25 each and the timekeeper is $15 Game 2 on Sunday is getting covered by Collingwood. We will discuss this further on Thursday night. Thanks, Mike

Hello Parents, If all of you could review with your child about off-sides and changing on the fly that would be appreciated, we will be practicing both. We also will be working on passing and positioning in the next few practices as well. I will be asking everyone to fill out a medical form next week for our trainer Josh Farlow, we will also require a photo copy of your child's birth certificate to keep on hand for our tournaments in case of any conflicts. If anyone has a sponsor please let me know and I will get it updated under your child's name on our website.  If anyone is interested ...
