Major PeeWee 2003, 2016 (Quick Feet Hockey)

The 03 Quick Feet Major Peewees closed out the Toronto Cup with a commanding victory over Vermont Black Ice Hockey in the AA Final at the Toronto Cup in Oshawa on Sunday.

The first 2 games are in the books in the Toronto Cup. The boys played solid as they continue to mould as a team and improve their play. Their first game had QF pitted against "Extreme Hockey from St. John's Newfoundland.Extreme Scored in the first period to take the lead and potted a second in the 2nd to lead 2-0 after 2. The team fought hard to cut into the 2-0 score when defenceman Darcy Scott scored on a beauty from the blue line to cut the lead in half. The 03 Quick Feet H.C are on their way to their first tournament of the season. The Team will compete for the Toronto Cup this weekend, games in both Toronto and Oshawa. "It was a tough start as the boys adapted to contact hockey in their pre-tournament game vs The Collingwood Blue Thunder. We struggled in the first to adapt to the new style game but quickly caught on as the minutes ticked away. We are ready and know what to expect when they step onto the ice this weekend in the Big Smoke." "We've Got the team now it's time to Get ready for the show" The schedule is posted for The Toronto Cup next weekend. The Club is itching to get out of the gate and get the wheels rolling on what will be a fun and exciting Spring Season. The team will have 2 more practices to gel, work on their game and prepare for weekend. A pre-tournament game vs The 03 Collingwood Blue Thunder is scheduled for Tuesday night, April 26th in Durham.    Final try-outs for the 2016 edition of the '03 Quick Feet team are complete. Let me first start out by saying that this has to be the most competitive try-out I have had the pleasure to lead and it came done to some very tough choices. I want to thank all the prospects and families for the dedication, hard work and commitment over the past week. All of you are great hockey players, athletes and young men.
