Minor Atom 2006, 2016 (Quick Feet Hockey)

The 2006 Minor Atom team wrapped up their impressive spring season this afternoon in Collingwood and lost a close game to a good Ottawa Valley Elite team.

The 2006 Minor Atom Team returned from Dorchester this weekend as the 2016 Dunny's Stonetown Classic Tournament Champions!

The Quick Feet 2006 Minor Atom team traveled to Sarnia this weekend and returned as tournament champions after a commanding 6 game performance.

First of all, I would like to say that this year`s tryouts were the best to date for the 2006 team.  We had 29 skaters and 3 goalies come out and they left every ounce of sweat, tears and determination on the ice.  As a coach, that is all you can ask of a player, to give everything they have and work as hard as they can work.  Which makes it tough to tell those players who did not make the team, because in all honesty the whole group was top notch. 

Sitting here, looking out the window at the fresh piles of snow, it’s hard to believe that we are already preparing for another spring hockey season.  Hopefully the weather continues to cooperate over the next couple of months and everyone has the opportunity to get outside to play some pond hockey, do some tobogganing, skiing/snowboarding or to build a snow fort.
