Quick Feet 0 - Hamilton Elite Stars 3
After a 4-2 win over Defasio to advance to the Championship Semi-Finals. The boys had about an hour before they would take to the ice to challenge the strong and aggressive Hamilton Elite Stars.
The boys would fuel back up with strawberries, bananas, apples, crackers, grapes and other great healthy foods and drinks that the parents would provide and share to make sure every player on the team had the proper nutrition to compete in the Semi-Finals game.
The game started as expected with the Stars pouring on the pressure and getting the first goal. This would be the first and only for a while as Morgan Troyer would shut the door by making spectacular save after save to keep the game within reach. The Stars were a very fast skating a very strong position and passing team that kept the Quick Feet team on the defense for most of the game.
The Stars would score two more but that was all that Morgan would allow as his strong performance had the crowd a buzz. Quick Feet was shown what strong passing, positional hockey and great passing can accomplish. Quick Feet battled hard thoughout the game and as usual never gave up. Character is not built by winning, and this was an important character build game for a already Strong Group with lots of Character. We are very proud of you boys!
