Novice AAA Quick Feet Battle Blue Thunder

The Novice AAA Quick Feet played host to the Collingwood Blue Thunder on Sunday April 25 in Walkerton.
In front of a large crowd Quick Feet came up short by a score of 6-4, allowing an empty netter with one second left in the game. Kyle Durrer started the scoring with a shot to the bottom corner fooling the Blue Thunder goalie on the short side with an assist from Brenden Hinds. Hinds scored the second goal with a hard drive to the net picking up a rebound from Durrer, assisted by Nathan Ahrens. With a pass from Jayce Busby, Durrer broke over the blue line with a hard shot to the top corner notching his second goal of the game. With assists from Nathan Ahrens and Jordon Ferrier, Mark Aljoe scored the final goal for Quick Feet with a back hand shot over the goalie’s shoulder. The team is working well together. They have some practising to do before their next game in Walkerton on May 5th against the Maitland Ice Sharks. They are looking forward to their first tournament in Toronto May 7-9.
