Toronto Cup Day 1 - Two Wins under our Belt
Toronto Cup – Friday May 7th, 2010.   Quick Feet Novice traveled to Toronto to take part of the Toronto Cup on Friday May 7th, 2010 to Sunday the 9th.

The first game the boys were revved up and reading to go but when they got to the start line there was no opponent to be found. This led to a 45 minute scrimmage with a Referee and their first win of the tournament 1-0.

The second game was against the Hamilton Southern Ontario Ice Kings that saw the Quick Feet team ready to prove themselves and came out flying and played three solid hard working periods. Good positional play, precise passing and keeping their feet moving proved too much for the Ice Kings to handle. Strong defensive play by Sam Bye, Dawson Fahrer, Jordan Ferrier, Drew Bell, Jayce Busby and Trevor Fisher made the work for goalie Morgan Troyer very minimal but the few chances the Ice Kings did have, Morgan was more than up to the challenge. This hard work and team play played off big time with a 9-1 win.

The Scorers were Mark Aljoe (3), Kyle Durrer (2), Tyson Lina (2), Jordan Ferrier, and Thomas Brown. Assists went to Tyler Calhoun (2), Drew Bell (2), Benden Gallaher (2) Jayce Busby, Kyle Durrer, Brenden Hinds, Mark Aljoe, Tyson Hutcheson.   The team went back to celebrate the victories with a very health and festive pot luck supper that could have fed 4 teams. Thanks to all the parents for a super meal! A quick dip into the pool and it was off to bed to dream about Hockey and to rest up for a big day.
